CompuPoint USA does not wipe or shred drives on site. Instead, we send every data-bearing device under a written contract to an R2-certified data sanitization partner. That gives you specialist destruction plus our chain of custody.
Collection
Devices are picked up or received, counted and logged.
Secure storage
Data devices are held in a controlled area until shipment.
Transfer
Devices travel to our sanitization partner with chain-of-custody paperwork.
Destruction
Our partner shreds the devices under its R2 certification.
Certificate
You receive a certificate of destruction for your records.
Our downstream partners
Every facility that receives material from CompuPoint USA, including reuse, data sanitization, metal and glass processors, is reviewed and approved under our R2 downstream due diligence program. Equipment with reuse value goes to an R2-certified reuse partner.
